Overview
You can share your Helium schedules with external calendar applications using Feeds, which provide standard iCal/ICS URLs for continuous synchronization.
Tip: If you're looking to import data from other calendar applications in to Helium, see How to Sync Google, Apple, or Other Calendars in to Helium Using External Calendars.
Find & Enable Your Feed URLs
- Sign in to your Helium account
- Open Settings → Feeds
- If feeds are not yet enabled, tap Enable
- Helium generates individual feed URLs for:
- Assignments
- Class Schedules
- Events
- Tap Copy next to any feed to copy its URL to your clipboard, then paste it into your external calendar application. On supported devices, you can also tap the Share button to send the URL directly.
For instructions on how to add a feed URL to a specific calendar application, see your provider's documentation—for example, Google Calendar's guide for subscribing to calendars.
Key Notes About Feeds
- External applications can only display Helium calendars through this method; they cannot edit Helium data
- Feed refresh occurs on the host application's own schedule—updates may not appear immediately
- Feeds are disabled by default to protect your privacy
- Keep your private feed URLs secret. If a feed URL is ever compromised, disabling and re-enabling Feeds will regenerate new URLs for all three feeds
