Planner Views, and Changing Your Default

Available Views

Helium offers five Planner display options:

• Month — Best for long-range planning
• Week — Great for a standard weekly academic workflow
• Day — Helps you focus on what's on your plate today
• Agenda — Similar to Week, but displays items as a list instead of a time-grid
• Todos — Displays only Assignments; Events, External Calendars, and Class Schedules are not shown in this view

Changing Your Default View

1. Open Settings → Preferences
2. Choose your desired option from the Default view dropdown
3. Tap Save

The Preferences screen also contains additional display and notification options for tailoring how your schedule looks and behaves.

Dragging to Reschedule, Adjust Time

You can reschedule assignments and events by dragging them to a different time slot or day, or adjust their duration by clicking on the top or bottom edge and dragging.

• On desktop and web, drag-and-drop and resizing are always enabled
• On touch devices, drag-and-drop is enabled by default (though only supported in Week and Day views). If you find it interferes with your preferred experience, you can turn it off in Settings → Preferences by disabling Allow drag-and-drop on touch devices
  • Adjusting time by dragging the top or bottom edge is not supported on touch devices

Helium Classic

The same views are available in Helium Classic. To change your default view, navigate to Account → Settings → Preferences, select your preferred option from the Default view dropdown, and click Save.

Helium Classic will remain available through at least Summer 2026.
