Adding non-Academic Events to the Planner

Helium lets you add events like study sessions, concerts, appointments, and anything else you need to block out time for in your schedule. Unlike assignments, events are not attached to a class, are ungraded, and won't appear in the Todos view.

How to Add an Event

1. Open the Planner
2. Tap on a day or time slot, or tap the + button
3. In the top-right corner of the form, tap the Event icon in the toggle (the right side of the two-icon toggle) to switch to Event mode
4. Enter your event details
5. Tap Save

Helium Classic

In Helium Classic, the toggle to switch between Assignment and Event works differently:

1. Open the Calendar
2. Click on a day or time slot, or click the + button
3. When the "Add Assignment" dialog appears, click the book icon in the upper-right corner to switch it to the "Add Event" dialog
4. Enter your event details and click Save

Helium Classic will remain available through at least Summer 2026.
